VIDEO: 800HP Mod Motor Capri Dominates Stick Shift Class

The second Generation of Mercury Capri’s were just a different version of the Ford Mustang built for Mercury. The Capri was built on the Ford Foxbody platform, which was used for the Mustang from 1979 to 1993. Trim series included the base Capri, the Capri Ghia, the Capri GS, the Capri RS, and the Capri Turbo RS.

It’s rare to see a Mercury Capri in good condition these days, especially one with 800hp at the drag strip. This “Bubbleback” just happens to have a Coyote motor and a Vortech Supercharger run through a T56 Magnum. In the video above by 1320Video, you see this Capri run through the competition and coming out on top in the stick shift class at the Heads Up No Prep Racing series at I-29 Dragway!
