When Scion and Subaru announced their conjoined project with the FR-S/BRZ, the hopes for another good sports car platform were high. It was lightweight, looks great, and RWD, but the only problem was the power plant. They decided to go with a N/A 2.0L boxer engine that only produced 200-205hp, which was honestly kind of disappointing. So how do you solve that? Swap in a built 2jz motor with a massive turbo. Jose decided to do just that in his FR-S and ended up making over 1200whp with his 2jz setup with 1jz heads and a Precision 7685 Gen 2 Turbo. The FR-S was built by Richard “Raw” Vernon and tuned by Crispeed Tuned. Jose plans on adding a little bigger tire in the rear so he can utilize all of his 1200whp without roasting his tires off!
