The 2017 race season kicked off this past weekend with WannaGOFAST in sunny Ocala, Florida. The 1/2 mile runway shootout took place at the beautiful Jumbolair Airport, where drivers had 2 full days of, side-by-side, half mile racing down the 7550 ft runway. A few records fell this weekend as drivers pushed their cars to the limits. Congrats to Sal Patel of Four Horsemen Racing for setting a new RWD World Record of 227.96mph, Chris Abeln of Lsxperts for setting a new American Corvette Record of 210.45mph, Jeff Hagaman for setting a new CTS-V World Record of 190.35mph, and last but not least Eddie Blackwell of Vengeance Racing for resetting the LS All Motor World Record 186.87!
