We are just days away from TX2K17 at Royal Purple Raceway in Houston, Texas. TX2K is the ultimate racing event that attracts some of the fastest street cars on the planet. With Roll Racing on Thursday and Friday and Drag Racing on Saturday and Sunday, the whole weekend will be full of action packed high-octane racing. The Friday Night Meet will feature live music, a bikini contest, dyno competition and much more. SCHEDULE THURSDAY MARCH 16:
• 7:00 am Gates open and tech will open again from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.
• MANDATORY driver’s meeting will take place at 8:45 am.
• 9:00 am track goes hot for testing, grudge runs and fun runs.
• 1:00-2:30 pm Qualifying Session 1.
• 2:30-3:30 pm Test-N-Tune and Fun Runs.
• 3:30-5:00 pm Qualifying Session 2.
SCHEDULE FRIDAY MARCH 17:
• Gates open at 7:00 am
• 8:00-11:00 am track will be hot for testing and fun runs.
• 11:00 am Round 1 of Eliminations
• 1:00 pm Round 2 of Eliminations
• 3:00 pm Round 3 of Eliminations
• 3:45 pm Final Round of Eliminations
Awards presentation after.
Track goes hot for test-n-tune at 5:00 pm, drag racing continues until ~11:00 pm, tech cards available for $35 at the entry gate starting 4:00 pm.
FRIDAY NIGHT MARCH 17 – OFFICIAL TX2K™ NIGHT MEET
The NIGHT MEET for TX2K17™will be at Royal Purple Raceway immediately following the TX2K™ ROLL RACE NATIONALS.
5:00 pm-11:00 pm 1/4 Mile Grudge Racing at RPR (test-n-tune), 1/4 mile track open for test-n-tune until ~11:00 pm.
10:00-11:00 BIKINI CONTEST with over $1,500 in CASH prize money in the Woodforest Bank Tower Club.
SATURDAY, MARCH 18 – DRAG RACING
1. Gates Open at 9:00 am and track goes hot 10:00 am
2. Test-N-Tune drag racing until 12:00 pm
3. Qualifying Round 1 at 12:00 pm, test-n-tune after
4. Qualifying Round 2 at 3:00 pm, test-n-tune after
5. Track hot until 6:00 pm
SUNDAY, MARCH 19 – DRAG RACING
1. Spectator Gates open at 9:00 am and track goes hot 10:00 am
2. 11:00 am – Qualifying Round 3
3. 12:30 pm – Eliminations Round 1
4. 2:00 pm – Eliminations Round 2
5. 3:00 pm – Eliminations Round 3
6. 4:00 pm – Final Round Eliminations
There will be a dedicated lane for test-n-tune at all times which will serve as a filler between round eliminations.
