The 2017 racing season is coming to a close fast with only a handful of events left for the season. Street Car Takeover made a stop in St. Louis this past weekend, which was a reschedule due to horrible weather earlier in the season.
On Friday night, their signature Twin Peaks Dyno Night Meet packed out multiple parking lots full of any and every type of car from a nasty ProCharged GTO to a real Ford GT40. Of course this large of a crowd always attracts the local law enforcement and they ended up shutting the party down about 15 minutes before the event was supposed to be over. It made for a great start to the weekend, and everyone was ready to race on Saturday.
Saturday we made our way to Gateway Motorsports Park for race day. Even though the weather reached a record high, over 300 racers came out to strut their stuff on the drag strip. All classes were stacked with close competition that made for a great day of racing!
